Consumers Print Majority of Digital Photos at Home in European Countries -- New Photo Printing Survey Results Will Be Unveiled at the Lyra Europe Imag

Newton, MA (PRWEB) June 12, 2008 -- Lyra Research (www.lyra.com), the digital imaging authority, has recently completed a survey of digital camera and camera phone users in France, Germany, Italy, and the United Kingdom. Results of this survey indicate that the majority of digital photos printed over the past 30 days, were printed in the home. Consumers in the United Kingdom seem especially inclined to print their photos at home, much more so than consumers in France, Germany, and Italy. Sixty percent of United Kingdom users have printed 100 percent of their photos at home.

In her presentation, "The Five W's of Digital Photo Printing: Who, What, When, Where, and Why," Ann Priede, Lyra's vice president of publications, will unveil more results from this recent survey. According to Priede, "for those users who print photos at retail, ordering at a self-service kiosk with a built-in printer is preferred in the United Kingdom, while off-site processing is preferred in Germany. Users in France and Italy prefer prints made in the store on equipment operated by staff behind the counter."

Besides unveiling the results from new European consumer research, Lyra will cover additional topics for imaging industry attendees at the Lyra Europe Imaging Conference through individual speakers and panel discussions. Lyra has two panel discussions planned for the Conference --- EMEA's Global Leadership in Recycling: Where to from Here? and Lifting the Lid on the European Office Supplies Market.

EMEA's Global Leadership in Recycling: Where to from Here?

Charles LeCompte, president of Lyra Research, will moderate this panel discussion, which will discuss the growing importance of environmental marketing. Panelists include:

This panel discussion on the imaging supplies market will focus on key issues for the supplies industry: the state of the battle between aftermarketers and OEMs, key channel strategies, the prospects for an all-out supplies price war, and more. Charles LeCompte, president of Lyra, will

moderate this panel discussion. Panelists include:
